Gold Coast City Council streamlines Plumbing Applications in 2010
Friday, 13 November 2009

As at the 1st January 2010, Gold Coast City Council will no longer require Hydraulic Drawings to be submitted with plumbing and drainage applications for class 1 buildings. This includes class 1 buildings with eighteen (18) or more plumbing fixtures.
Councils aim is to further streamline the plumbing and drainage compliance assessment process, which hopefully will significantly reduce the time taken to approve plumbing and drainage applicaitons for class 1 buildings in sewer-reticulated areas.
The requirements for all other types of plumbing and drainage applications such as commercial class 2 - 9, class 10 buildings and class 1 buildings in non sewer-reticulated areas will remain unchanged.
